One of a handful of immigration attorneys in the world who practice in both Canada and the United States. Member of the bars of New York and California in the United States and Ontario and B.C. in Canada. Helped over 10,000 clients with legal problems in my career while traveling extensively and speaking on immigration themes all over the world, including the U.K., Hong Kong, New Delhi, Ukraine and Fiji.

Current Forbes columnist and former United Nations correspondent who writes on immigration and human rights themes and formerly wrote for the Southam newspaper chain in Canada.

Former Member of the Tribunal Panel of the Canadian Human Rights Commission for three years where I adjudicated cases involving federal human rights complaints for three years.

Former Chairman of the Beverly Hills Bar Association Networking Committee for three years.

Author of four books: The Young Professional, a career guide book for young people entering the professions published by Cengage Learning of Boston, MA, and A Promise Kept, a family memoir published by Create Space. Also published Solomea: Star of Opera's Golden Age, about my great aunt who was the world's leading soprano in the first decade of the 1900s and who helped Puccini rescue the opera Madama Butterfly from failure, and A Treasure Chest of Humor, a book about funny stories.

Fellow of the Ukrainian Catholic University, Lviv, Ukraine where I taught effective presentation skills, journalism and the development of human potential. Previously also taught public speaking in the Faculty of Commerce at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada. Have given presentations in law, business and history in other venues.

Former member of the National Speakers Association in the United States and the International Platform Association – organizations requiring professional speaking credentials to obtain membership.

Graduated with a law degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada in a combined Business-Law program.
